AN EXPERIENCE YOU WILL NEVER FORGET!
Ocean Dolphin Cruise Myrtle Beach Watersports offers 2 dolphin cruise alternatives. The Sea Screamer is ticketed from inside Captain Juel’s Hurricane Restaurant in Little River and the Sea Thunder is ticketed at the Harbourgate Marina in North Myrtle Beach. Both boats have a capacity of 149 passengers and run each season from Easter week through mid October at a reduced schedule. The boats run 3 trips per day from June through August, weather permitting. Carry on snacks and drinks are available at the ticketing location and a restaurant discount is also provided. There is no room for strollers or coolers on board but small children are welcome. Which ever boat you choose, the cruise venue is very nearly the same. First, you will enjoy a narrated cruise of the historic Intracoastal Waterway, touring all the way to the Little River Inlet, cruising through South Carolina’s most pristine scenery. You will pass homes, marinas, and uninhabited islands, while all the time exploring for birds, sea turtles, and other marine life, along the way to watch the playful dolphin. You will pass by 2 unique fishing villages on the way to learn about the history of the area which includes civil war battles, pirate ship attacks, and geographical history. The boat will pick up speed as it approaches the blue granite rock jetty; which is the gateway to the ocean. The second part of this popular cruise will be the exhilarating ride into the Atlantic Ocean to find the graceful dolphin. Both of these powerful, sea worthy, vessels offer a safe speed boat ride toward the local shrimp boats that offer a natural feeding habitat for the dolphins. Along the way you will see the famous beaches and resorts of the Carolinas as the cruise navigates along the coast to join up with the dolphin. The third part of the cruise is the dolphin watch. Once the boat arrives at the dolphin sighting location the captain will slow down to an idle so everyone on the boat can get a good look at the dolphin. Seating on the boat is not an issue because weather there are few or many the dolphin can be seen from anywhere on the boat. Bring your camera and take home the memories. The cruise takes from 11/2 to 2 hours and if you do not see dolphins you can ride again free. We are the only cruise that can provide this free ride guarantee because the dolphin are so plentiful out of the Little River Inlet, and, with 2 boats running we have 900 seats available each day, in season. Our return pass is also good on either boat, the Sea Screamer or the Sea Thunder. Wear casual clothes or a swim suite and, depending on surf and wind conditions, you may get wet. This cruise is the most popular boating attraction in Myrtle Beach. We attract about 40,000 people each year, many of which are repeat passengers. It is also one of the best attraction values in the area and our dolphin guarantee makes this attraction a no risk opportunity to view the amazing dolphins.
Sunset Dolphin Cruise Sea Screamer Only (Call for Schedule) Experience the extraordinary view of the famous Sun Set Beach and the Little River Inlet aboard the open deck of our Sea Thunder cruise ship. Departing from Harbourgate Marina, you will travel along the Intracoastal Waterway where you will see beautiful beach house, cottages, restaurants, and marinas. You will then pass by the historic fishing villages of Little River and Calabash. You will experience the tranquil, natural beauty, of the salt marsh trails as you travel toward the channel to the Atlantic Ocean. Our trained staff will be on hand to point out the popular landmarks and the geography along the waterway. Next our cruise ship will take you into the ocean for the dolphin sightings, where you may get wet. Upon your return, the sun will be setting over the waterway where you will experience the view that is typically only seen from the famous Sunset Beach. Carry on wine, cheese, and other snacks are available from the marina. Some soft drinks are sold on board. ![]() |
